This is NOT a sponsored video. I bought this light and love it.
I was browsing the lights in a local hardware store (Felton's) and saw this light that is very similar to my favourite LED light. Long story short - this one is now my favourite light.
It's like the MKII version with many improvements, but still retaining very simple circuitry that can be hacked (as I did ) to nudge the LED power down for longevity of the LED, and also extend the run time from the very generous lithium cell.
Everyone has their own preference in flashlights, and in my case it's almost 100% for work illumination. This light is perfect for working on technical equipment. It's lightweight and comfortable, with a beam of light where it's needed and a long run time on a charge.
These seem to be a very widely available light, so you shouldn't have any problem finding one locally or online.

Mine keep rusting out. 35c/salty air, 90% humidity turns everything inside into a sticky red slurry the moment you opened the blister. I use the basic alu tubular with an 18350 and a toggle on the screw top. I just want them to work for two to three night fishings. I bring a fresh one in an unopened blister as a backup.

I found one on Ebay but the price was way too much unfortunately. Over seventy dollary doos with postage/shipping to Australia.
Guess I'll have to keep making do with cheap stuff with seizure inducing strobe functions and no IR switching.

when you hit something with a flashlight, and it detaches from the belt and falls into the mineshaft, you immediately realize that you do not need to buy such flashlights lol

    SOS mode useless
Even worse as they put spaces between the letters, as correctly SOS isn’t three letters but a prosign, so SOS could also be written iatnee.

    It's Amazing,..
The number of Brand Name devices mentioned in the comments.
90% come from the same factories in China. And 90% you can get Unbranded on eBay. And probably Amazon and blah blah blah.
I shop eBay because of their policies on Product Descriptions.
I have about 7 flashlights and 3 headsets. NONE of which I paid for. Or, more accurately got full refunds on. And to make a long story short. All you need to know are simple things and specs on devices. Know almost every item eBay from China has Overly Inflated Claims. AND, that they don't want to pay return shipping,.. so you'll get them free. Just costs you Time.
Have a nice headlight with a Cree 50.2 led. That has the Zoom feature, and dual 18650 batteries. It's a HEADLIGHT for sure. And fully adjustable. And Free.
Have some nice flashlights with Cree 70.2 LEDs as well. Those, are Really Headlights. And shine a good 1/8 of a mile no problem. Have like 3 of those.
But the key is getting Good Batteries. I use Samsungs, because they seem to have the longest run time overall. And hold a charge well. Luckily, they seem to be built different than their Phone Batteries, thank God.

Hi Clive. Unlike you I always avoided rechargeable head lamps. They had a bad habit of going flat at the worst possible moment. I chose instead to buy lamps that took AA cells. I always carried a box of spare batteries and cells for all my gear. My last job was exclusively diesel powergen and nobody ever lit their plant rooms well enough to do anything but basic servicing.
