The new Smyrhagal USB charger from Ikea fixed 50 output input voltage range from 100 to 240 volts maximum 3.4 amp output or 2.4 on any particular output Port The circuit board has incoming Supply fuse and Rush limiting a bit of filtering on the smoothing. It has a switchboard power supply chip with two levels of over voltage protection output plus it's got thermal sensing and the ability to shut down its own startup socket to save a little bit of power. The output side after a very well-wound Transformer with good electrical separation has a synchronous rectifier based on our Chip and A mosfet which gives almost lossless rectification and three power control chips one for each Port An event one overload or short socket will simply shut that circuit off, it looks a very good charger.
New Channel "Inside Clive's shorts" 😂
Småhagel = small hail (the meteorological phenomenon)
I watched the full tear down and within an hour, I was in IKEA and had one of these, one of their wireless charging pads and a shiny new USB C cable too… Thanks for the detailed review and well done on the watcher's digest version. 👍
The Å in Swedish language is pronounced more like an O
Smahagel sounds like something Dr. Frink from the Simpsons would say, heh!
Thanks Clive 😊
Aye… but does it carbonate?
So you're saying this is a good deal? Sorry i dont have UK power in Canada…but looks like a proper setup!!
Clive always straight to the point even on shorts…. without him I would still be over a banana tree fighting with other monkeys….
Enjoyed the full length as well, thanks for doing these public service anoucements!!
Can you test those super cheap 3$ China USB Power Plugs with 4 USB and "Quick Charging" and those with 3+1C with "PD"
It's ikea what you spected
Take a shot for every big word Clive says in this video 😂
Love this quick overview, thank you
Bought one of these and after a year the ports started to fail . One has gone completely and another seems to give very little charge
