Now it's time to test if beer can be made even fizzier with the addition of carbon dioxide.
Not the most successful of the carbonation experiments. After making the video I tried to drink the carbonated beer directly from the sodastream bottle and it basically dumped all the carbonation out instantly resulting in a jet of foamy beer shooting out my mouth.

Beer. It kind of starts off fizzy, but the question is, can we make it fizzier by putting it through the Sodastream Well, there's only one way to find out. so let's open this kind of freshly chilled Madbury Beers not the correct pronunciation I'm not really sure and we shall pour this can of beer into the Sodastream. This is fair.
To be honest, it would have been better getting a 500 milliliter can of beer because then it would have been the correct level. But for 440 milliliter is close enough, it's already looking very fizzy. I Think this is going to take a while to clear after it's been carbonated? Yeah, See that that foam? There is a sign of bad things. Oh that is.
That is a sign of very bad things. This has got off to an absolutely terrible start. I May have to pause while this calms down. Calm down.
Beer. Uh and uh right yeah. Give me a moment. I'll be back in a in a jiffy once this has calmed down a bit.
Oh, this is not a good sign. Let's get the soda stream up and do it anyway. even though I am filled with grave concerns about the four minutes that is about to ensure. Oh, it's gonna make a mess isn't it? Uh, carbonating.
Let's go for. let's go for about. Uh, well. let's go for the Triple fart as usual.
but I think I'm gonna have to pause. uh to let this decarbonate enough to actually release it Air that is gonna make a huge mess I may have to rush through to the kitchen and Purge it There it is. however, taking not to come to oxide. Not sure this is a good thing.
This is also why SodaStream don't normally recommend putting anything other than water in their soda streams. There could be a beer explosion imminent. Oh, do you have the courage for another one? Yeah, oh yeah, that's that. That's that safety valve.
Uh, venting not to go? Oh oh right. So what? Uh I'll be back in one moment. Yeah. I Think that this might be a bad idea that one of the first couple is not the Bailey's Irish Cream was the first one to go badly wrong and the advocat wasn't so great either.
Uh, this I just gave up. There's quite a lot of beer went through that pressure release valve I'm gonna have to rinse it now. So uh, here is a foam. This is like the worst Barman ever and it is instantly turning to foam as soon as it hits the glass.
So you've got a glass of foam. Hmm, it's very fizzy. I'm not sure this is a productive thing to do. Uh, how does the foam taste? Um, slightly bearish, but mostly foamish with a slight end of beer? No, that's not working and you can actually apparently breathe the foaming, right? Okay, well, uh, at this point in time I'd say it.
I don't know if it's really taking a lot of carbonation. Hard to say because I'm not getting to drink much of it. but um, well tell you what. I'm gonna let this settle down.
Oh no, there's a wee bit forming at the bottom here. I believe it is formed. it's also formed all over my bench here. Um, not much more carbonated than it was before. So the answer is can you carbonate beer? Will certainly the Madrid beer or Madre or madri. The answer is no, no, you can't It's not recommended. Stick to sensible things like wine and vodka.
…slightly beerish but mostly foamish…
😂😂😂
Tip from the lab: Rub your finger on your nose, and dip it into the foam. The human nose has a lot of oil on it, and the minute amount transferred on your finger will break the foam. De-foaming chemicals are often an oil that floats on the surface and breaks surface tension.
Every time you lent backards while drinking, I fully expected you to just tip completely over! I just love watching these carbonation videos, they always make me smile
You need a resistor on the CO2 stream, otherwise the current will just destroy the beer 😉
I love that you do this silliness. Hot coffee next?
breathing the foam in is how it hits you faster 😂🍻
WOW what a waste of time
My mind tells me whiskey has already been succumbed to the sodastream…?
A maybe nice one…
Chambord.
Raspberry liquor.
Sounds nice.
The syurpyness of it leaves a question…
Always fun … thanks Clive…. You should try carbonating liquid carbon dioxide next….. 😉
Squeeze out the bar rag at your local pub and carbonate that.
I’m gonna be honest most of the time I have no idea what you’re saying about electronics but man your voice is soothing keep up the good work!
foam taste foamy
me: hmm interesting
i was confused … and then i understood …
beer is slight carbonated
lol imagine the fizz
I went from your video on dubai lamps to this and I'm not disappointed at all.
