A generic Chinese HVAC tool for swapping leaky schrader valve cores in a charged system, or using the side port to pull vacuum or charge them without the valve-core restricting flow.

These are fantastic, the old company I use to work for I did alot of HVAC and this was included in the gauge set I had in my van, I unfortunately had to give it back when I left
Honeywell make one of these for changing the core in their thermostatic radiator valves without draining the heating system.
Yep, seen those used by refrigeration techs, definitely a cool tool.
Been around since the early 90โs I think C&D valve made them first JB owns them now
Want? Extremely yess!!!
Needed? Not right now but there is possibility.
I have seen a mechanic do that with regular tools. Air is cheap.
When we had a new outdoor A/C unit installed on our house, the fill port on the A/C was leaking from the factory. The HVAC technician had to use that tool to replace the leaking schrader valve. The only problem was he couldn't get the valve out. It was stuck. So finally he just removed the plunger and just opened and closed the valve as quick as possible on the tool. It shot the schrader valve out a good 20 meters and hit a vehicle parked in the yard at the time. He installed a new schrader valve and the problem was fixed.
Wow
If you have a quality cap a leaky valve core isnt an issue, the cap will seal any leaks, Schrader valves are not leak proof
And we use this complicated tool because the compressed gas in the tube is extremely rare and precious — when you fill your tires with helium.
This is a nice tool, I used it this suumer, on some hvac equipment. It worked well for me. Nice invention.
Seeing as we have Schrader valves on our A/C systems, this is a tool I MUST buy. Heading to "The Usual Suppliers" right now!! ๐
