According to the instructions on the box these Xmas lights aren't supposed to be electrically connected to another set....

Firstly adding half of another string to the original one, and then making a super bright but potentially violent string of lamps being run at twice and then three times their design voltage.

I laughed so much when you said ‘I’m disappointed they didn’t blow up, there’s still plenty of time though.'
Why am I gigling like a small child when I watch this?
One of these days, you're going to literally napalm your house just for the excitement, aren't you?
Borderline criminal behavior.
"Yeah, let's see if we can accelerate the carnage" "What's the worst that can happen?" Right-o-let's go!
Would look good on a high speed camera
Why am I smelling burnt wiring? Oh right Clive is at it again .
Dude. Could you do a tutorial on how to properly use a multimeter. There's plenty of videos out there, but your voice my brain just seems to soak in what your saying lol

You would enjoy the mayhem my father caused a couple of years ago when experimenting with lights like these. He took some dead strings that we had lying about the house, cut the sections that were not dead, connected them all in series and plugged them in. The lights were spread around our then-new sitting room carpet, so they won't tangle. When he plugged them in, they worked fine for couple of seconds and then the cable insulation on the whole line of lights set on fire, burning a nice zig-zaggy track on the carpet.
Needless to say, my mother wasn't very happy about what happened to the carpet.
"Challenge accepted" is one of my favorite phrases. 😀
I've had a couple light strings all burn out at once when plugged into a socket, any idea why?
