A look inside a couple of single cell power banks that have gone for a different style of case to save space.
The one with the LM324 as the cell charge level indicator was quite neat. That would also explain why there was no multiplexing flicker when I pressed the button.

That is interesting they use a quad op amp. Some of these things amaze me as to how simple they can be or how complex. I am fixing my headphone amp and just checked my op amps and they are not the issue, but I have a film capacitor on the output that shows voltage in, but nothing out, so I have found my issue.

Hi, Clive – I popped into my local Poundland this week and found a power bank like the sharp edged pink one in your video.

It claimed to be 1200 mAh so I bought one. Surprisingly it is well made with a neat little control board and a cell that tests out at 1250 mAh – a cheap way of getting 18650 cells.
