So this started off as just trying to see how the circuitry was mounted in a lithium cell. I should really have discharged it first as it got a bit freaky at times.
But this is a total teardown. Not just cracking out the circuit board, but the whole case and then the guts of the cell too.

Cheap porn flick and cake farts.
"This was a terrible idea" is kinda the point where i would say to myself: "Hm i like my viewers. But i kinda like my fingers even more"
Bro what a throwback I forgot cake farts was a thing 😆 🤣
"Just in case something goes horribly wrong " 😂
The smell is a mixture of propylene carbonate and a polyether solvent. One strip is lithium cobalt oxide with a bit of copper in it, the lithium ion side has the polyacene polymer bonded graphite. Lithium ions stick in this layer on charging and move to the cobalt layer when discharging. Be careful as the cobalt layer is quite toxic if inhaled or ingested.
Some batteries have an hours counter in their charge controller that makes them fake report the battery is dead or weak. To reset drop the battery voltage to about 2.5V. Then briefly short the cell itself out, a second or two is enough. Next use a vape pen charger to directly charge the cell to 3.5v or so. Then apply a bit more than that voltage to the positive and negative of the bms board to wake it up. Finally pop back into the device and charge normally. Congratulations you now have your battery restored to 80 to 95 percent of new capacity.
Great hand warmer for winter
Where is the lithium metal in it
The more you kept prying it open my brain was like “PUT IT IN THE DISH CLIVE!!!!!”
I'm so disappointed he didn't throw it into a bucket of water 😉
I saw the guy that tried to open up an air bag to get at the charge material and burnt his hands like an over heated oil popped over his hands.
And i think he may have been using those crappy trinile gloves.
You know what I like the most?
If you leave the foil soaking in vinegar & salt, you end up with a blue coloured electrolyte with the dense colour of black, & the foil is copper foil. Which if you want it shiny & intact, you have to submerge it in water, then isopropyl alcohol, then quickly dry it off or the copper foil will oxidize.
It's a handwarmer. Squeeze and bend it a bit and it'll keep your gloves nice and toasty.
Looks like pure carbon in them to me
