Poundland have a new USB power supply (actually £2) with a decent spec. I thought I'd give it a thorough test, including a 2kV flash test.

lol. I'm a brit in Ireland and can get Jelly babies (love them) but my favourite snack are twiglets, which for the life of me I can't get here. My kids have to sneak them in when they come home. Oh, your video is great too. Thanks 🙂

I had one of these poundland dual chargers in blue and each time i used if.
Its gave off a faint funky smell and i stopped using it IMMEDIATLY and i safely got rid of if.

Whoever is looking at this I would not keep this on when not in the room or house. Mine literally just got so hot I burnt my hand unplugging it and touching the metal, it was literally smelling of burning and wouldn't charge my phone anymore. Thank god I noticed before I just went to sleep! Fire hazard!

Not sure if I just got a doggy one, less than two years old, near zero use only used a handful of time less than 10 times to charge my phone when working in the shed.
Plugged in was fine for first 25-30 mins then was getting slower and slower at the frequency of battery percentage increase to the point where it only doing 1 percentage ever 7-8 mins , a few mins later started to smoke.
Going to have a source a new usb charger as a spare/ for using in my man cave aka sherd, probably going to spend more possible get a IKEA one or just spend the extra £ to buy a genuine branded one Apple Samsung etc.
They're doing one by Viido at the moment. 3 quid. Dont know if its any better/worse
Had 2 of these, both overheated and smelt awful after!
I would have liked to see you rerun that isolation test after snipping off the class Y capacitor, just to double check that it was in fact the culprit.

Poundland has released a new version that's 6 pounds. Wish you could see if it's any good. As poundland looks to have discontinued these version's.
