I was looking for some 100W LEDs to use in my exiting 20W lights to spread the dissipation better and hopefully create very long lasting lights. I bought some from two different ebay sellers based in China and deliberately tried two different price ranges to see how price affected quality.

Those kind of chips are the best
I was wondering whether to buy an EV with 7000 lithium ion cells but I'll hang back on it for now.
Hi I am looking for a led driver for my 12v 50w led chip for a motorcycle headlight project any recommendations please.?
Always underpower LEDs…
it is 2022 and I got from Ali the same shit ;(
I noticed some of these units have 4 legs per pole but the iffy ones have had a leg trimmed off. Almost to help lower the maximum current or to help cover the fact it had already been soldered into a device and removed. Probably salvaged from faulty street light units with ten in each or something lol.
They often have 30mil chips but i was accidentally sent one with 42 or 45mil chips. It drew more like 200w and lit up an entire mile long field lol. They are the ones to buy
Top once again matey

England
They are factory rejects. Ebay is China's dumping ground for their crap.
mine are working a little too good xD, i got 70w 36v and they blinden me immediatly
They only cost like 3 euro’s a piece so still cant expect any more
The moral of the story is
Don't Buy Crappy LEDs From Dodgy Ebay Sellers!
Rambling!!!!
China wastes so much material its disgusting
I think they might work at full power.
Make a lumen test on it.
because it might be, that some Leds have some parrallel resistance to them due to a little bit of electrostatic damaging. so they conduct the current to the other ones, so that they dont light up, but the other ones do..Once the current is high enough, they will light up, too, cause then the voltage across the resistance will get high enough to even light them up.
Would you be able to add in a cap and resistor (and/or other components) to make an LED chip come on and go out a bit more gently, mimicking small tungsten lamps?
Didn’t expect that. Well briefed. Cheers.
