I've taken the rest to bits, so I might as well do this one too.
I have to admit that other than the dubious use of low power drivers, these lights are mostly quite neat and well designed.

Low quality led floodlights.
Would you happen to know why two "50" floods simular to this one strobes on and off? Is this a simple fix or are they shot?
This rubbery gunk is quite easy to remove to reveal the internal construction.
. I bought a 10w flood when they first came out ,,and is far better quality hardware inside than the newer ones ( although came with 2 core flex ). The driver inside is a 10w item . A newer purchased 20w unit I fitted is not twice as bright. Clive have you had a multi onto the driver???? .
I see lights just like this on the LEDHUT website. Was about to buy some. Now not sure.
'control gear' for teh compromise!
I don't like the shadows they create.
Those light might be diffuse in the sense that they have a high spread, but they are quite clearly pretty much point sources. That creates 'hard' shadows. I think the way you mounted the lights might also make them fairly 'long'.
Could you put some light diffusing material in front of them or maybe reflect the light on something to diffuse it and make it softer?
the sale of these lights in Australia would be forbidden if the earth was not fitted correctly and you would be entitled to a full refund if the item was not as described, the seller could be in front of the courts for fraud as well.
Can you name and shame the seller?
