I bought this light because it looks like a space gun. The lesson here being that if lighting manufacturers make their lights looks like futuristic space guns then people will buy them purely for that reason. The construction is interesting, but fairly traditional. The internal circuitry is what you might expect for a device like this.

Pifco made a gun shaped torch in the old days, used a No 8 3v battery, it was known as a Pifco pistol lite. The batteries in yours are Chinese an often found in cheap bike lamps an TV remotes, Sadly some rolson items are no good, I had some pliers from them an they snapped, possibly cheap steel. I find with these cheap torches the bodies are nicely machined but sadly the electronics are not that good which is a shame.
Rolson….a byword for top quality
Oooooh, lots of room for modifications.
The mind flys with strange or wonderful ideas, and even sometimes both strange and wonderful.
Maybe a stun gun light combo?
Hmmmm
I think I’ll stick with my LED upgraded Maglites lol.
double a battery's
Honestly one thing ur free to do for good cheapiest way is get zte power blank put 2×3.7 rechargeable and re wire it and I don't think u need to get the back open u can use just one but they make it good one 2 led shows minimal and max state lefts quite a charge on so u use em longer time limit it to 5 volts but 3 x 1.5 are about that voltage 4.5 I got 4.9 on new x3 pack

Why on earth would someone design a light like that and not put the battery compartment in the handle? The sales and satisfaction would skyrocket.
Not to nitpick, but I'd rather have alkaline cells in it, if it had been sitting in a drawer for a few years, and I needed to use it in an emergency.
“And now lets unscrew this locking ring – Hey look, a rabbit!!!!”
Please forgive me, but I see things in other things, and that might be a very interesting DIY mech mod with an 18350 cell. Dangerous as all fuck, perhaps, but seeing as it has a master switch, it might work. Even as a sort of "just to see if one can" sort of project. I have no regrets about this comment.
i hate things that run on triple A
