This video involves my attempt to work out the wiring of an old Asahi Seiko coin payout hopper mechanism as used in gaming equipment. The manufacturers website does not have a datasheet for it, and it appears to have been superseded by a newer variant.

    hi can you help me out please, bell fruit machine ultimate, sch5 hopper… i have 2 spades for the sensor level .. how do i test for the correct two leads.. in all i have 1 switch on the side of the hopper and 2 spades on the hopper but 6 wires ..

    notice the link means that if you installed the connector upside down you'd short out 24v to gnd

    cool… we use almost the same hopper in some of our games at the arcade.

    Of course, ours are setup for US quarters, and have a different manufacturer name on them… but otherwise quite the same.

    Severe flash backs to when I worked as an arcade tech and would take apart coin hoppers for cleaning.

    Finding data sheets on anything gaming oriented is tricky in my experience.
    Not sure what it is like there, but it is so heavily regulated here that special licensing is needed just to even legally purchase parts from gaming machines
