When you buy directly from other countries you effectively bypass local trading standards and safety testing. Many of the products bought from international sellers on eBay may be made for an unregulated or less safety biased market. This video is my choice of what I believe may be one of the more dangerous products being sold in many forms. I'll guess that it may be based on an original product that may be made to safer standards, but the original has probably been buried under a flood of clones and style copies.
The units shown in this video all have completely inappropriate power supply circuitry inside that has no isolation from the mains charging lead. This makes the USB charging output live when the unit is being charged, and a metal bodied phone like an iPhone could become live at 120-240V. This poses a huge risk as it would act as an electrode that your hand would grip onto so tightly that the only way to let go would be to isolate the power or break the flow of current through your body in some other way.
If you have one of these then be very aware that it may be dangerous. If you've given one as a gift then you may wish to contact the recipient to determine if their unit is dangerous.

Ngfl i literally brought it to shower cause it looks cool. The lamp went to 'eternal sleep mode' right after I start charging. I already regret buying it.

if i had one of those i would mod it and put a 5v switch mode psu for the usb . or put some lipos in there with a charger circuit and a usb booster module like a 5v 1a module for the usb output
So many humans.

There was one of these deathdapters floating round my office, I made sure it was not returned.
I am guessing from this that these goods were never tested or passed as fit for use at the point of importation? This is scary.
How are these allowed to be sold in the uk?
I had two of them that I used with solar only. They were cheap and fell apart easily. In one of them, the lantern or flashlight end ( can't remember which) quit working almost immediately. The solar panel came loose as well on one. I paid ten bucks apiece for them. I found outdoor solar flood lights on Amazon for under twenty bucks each that have detachable stakes and solar panels and I use them for off grid lighting. They are brightt and much more durable and have very long cables.. If you hang them overhead, they direct a very nice beam if light. They might be a but bulky for backpacking but would work well for car camping or a power outage. Just remember that they won't come on when light is present so you may have to turn the solar panel over to get them to come on if there is another light source.
It always makes me nervous whenever you have a product that has a flaw like this. Just the fact that it's so dangerous and easily accessible.
Check out a certain online store, they could be this years number one too!
I bought a set of four last year after repeated long power outages. They run on AA batteries and do not have USB charging ports. I need them to provide light, nothing more.
