This works so well. And you can just recycle the candle wax from random sources again and again.
The wicks are from common tealight candles often sold in bulk packs.
If you want to remove a candle from the dish then you can put it in the fridge for a while, and the wax often shrinks enough to free itself completely.
Once again I'll mention that you shouldn't have the wicks lit while the wax is also being heated on the unit. If it gets too hot the wax could burn with excessive smoke.

Cut scene from solid wax in warmer to melted wax in warmer and continue on like nothing happened…don’t tell the viewers it took 6 hours to melt the wax that way. LOL!
I think those wax melts are roughly £1 in the US as well, they're sort of the walmart brand.
candle-cepsion candle in a candle from a candle lighted whit a candle… lighter
the reason they are in pound stores over there is because they are really just crap that was imported into the USA, melted down, sorted and bricked, packaged, then exported with the USA logo on it
Mainstays i think that's a Walmart brand (at least that is the only place i see that brand being sold en masse)
Up yours Glade.
odd that's Walmart brand
They look like EyeS
Hey Clive, making all those candles, does it get on your wick lol
"wax on, wax off"
Also this reminds me of a fun little project. The Super candle as I like to call it.
Melt down a bunch of candles or just wax, rip up a bunch of cotton cloth for wicks, and add as many as you can in relatively close proximity. Now you can play around to get the best distance between wicks for biggest flame, but my god is it fun when you just get a HUUUUGE flame from one.
Can't I just get a smaller hot plate, and run it off a 12 or so volt transformer and run it off that for the heater?
Could probably help with ambient temp too if you have a cold room
Which do you reckon is best? Poundland, Poundworld or Poundstretcher?
I still think you should do a video with the wicks lit and the unit running, burning the wax with excessive smoke.
I buy those wafers here in the states all the time. They're pretty cheap.
Mainstays is Walmart's house-brand. They are only about a dollar, maybe slightly more, so I would expect them to run about a pound over there.
Do you think a USB cup warmer would be hot enough to melt wax? I have an idea to make Beard wax (50% Beeswax, 50% Coconut oil).
