Having been impressed by the LED-neon pineapple sign I bought one of the rose shaped ones.
Although from the same listing, the construction is different.
If you enjoy these videos you can help support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and random gadgets for disassembly at:-

This also keeps the channel independent of YouTube's advertising algorithms allowing it to be a bit more dangerous and naughty.

Above the light diffusion, the LED strips could not be bent into shape if mounted horizontally.
Secondary advantage of having the led tape at 90 degrees to the front is that it makes it much easier and better to make bends in the led neon.
How much heat does it emit ?
How long a length of this neon light can you draw out of a 5v power supply. ( is it like 4 meters, 5 meters.. any idea )
What Amp does the 5v Adapter did you use in this case ? ( 1A, 2A .. )
No way. I have a similar neon sign in the shape of a banana, I've got it from somewhere, doesn't really matter. Just about two weeks ago, I came about the same conclusions as you did, "It's just a Neon LED strip in a channel, not even glued in, you could 3D print that", so I bought some transparent filament and made one! Pretty cool to see that you've made a video about this stuff
How much did you pay for this thing? I see listings varying between around 15€ and 30€ so I'm not sure if the cheaper ones are just smaller scale despite listing the same dimensions on both or if there's just something fishy going on. Been thinking for a few days and I think I want to get one of these for my mother as a gift
I attended a wedding recently where they had a flowered arch with the groom's last name in LED/neon over the arch. The purpose was for people to get their picture taken under the arch as a memento.
I keep watching these videos thinking ill learn something about electronics. after the 2-3 video i determined i prob wont unless i actually took a small class on it or something, but this guy is great to watch and ill keep watching them.. if i suddenly learn something thats just bonus points lol
For signs in the for say in the window, wonder how well the plastic holds up to UV during the day.
So cool, great explanation on design
I…. Just don't get these. The beauty of neon signs is their construction, and the warm glows from the various excited gasses. These will always just be a poor imitation to me. I'm not anti-LED or anything, this is just by far and away my least favourite application for them. At least they are cheap….
I was at my local supermarket today and was distracted by a neon-looking display for some product. It was neon-look LED and almost cornea-searing bright. Forget what I said about LED "neon" not being as bright as the Real Thing.
