To make the power supply blow up in such a dramatic manner I only needed to put three 4700 ohm quarter watt carbon film resistors in parallel across the mains pins. It was a genuine electrical explosion at 240V that took out a 13A fuse.
I used three resistors for more effect and smoke. I left the lid unscrewed so it would fly off when it went bang.

This power cord was directed by Michael Bay!
When we had three-phase power installed at our house, apparently we had a few floating neutrals. When the utility people flipped the main switches our main circuit got 400VAC across it for a second or two. One of the smps wall warts in the utility cupboard (for our modem) blew up much like this one because the capacitor inside failed rather spectacularly. A laptop charger died in a cloud of black smoke and 100Hz hum. Would highly recommend if you're well-insured.
In my youth I had loads of fun putting resistors across the secondary winding (640V center tapped) of a 350 VA transformer from an old TV. The carbon arc made a spectacular flash of light, with the BZZZZT! sound effect. Very fireworks like. ๐๐๐๐

He thinks it's shit because it's Chinese, no China and Japan make amazing electronics. But the design was defective
Bigclive itโs because China use a 364 yang system not like our 220 volt system. They also use noodles for wires. That y so cheep!
This looks like something that Kreosan would do
Now thatโs what I call blast processing!
Used to put chewing gum foil into the plugs in school and flick the switch…a very similar result was observed ๐
Did this happen because it was really a 120 V product? If every time something doesn't work you up to 240V is very dangerous.
did you review that screwdriver set yet? the one on the left top corner?
Now, this is why you don't buy a cheap exploding Power Supply.
one of my old computers made that noise once, it died a glorious death fit for a viking ๐
