These have been about for a while. They're basically a fake wall switch with batteries and COB (Chip On Board) LED arrays in them so that they emit a good amount of light when turned on. The slight downside being that if you mount them in the same position as a normal switch they would be quite glaring when you were looking in their general direction.

Can't get it to work
I got two of these for the trunk area of the cars. Interior trunk lights suck and this thing adds a ton of light for it's size.
I’m trying to wire this to my car battery I need some help
They sell those things at harbor freight in the states. They cost a couple of dollars (and sometimes they give them away for free).
Hello I watch your channel every once in a while.. but keep coming back. I hope you can connect me .I do Paranormal Investigations and seen many things that might work. But I have a engineer friend that is much like you hopefully we can all talk.
Im planning on getting two or three of these for my daughters outside play house as a way to provide light for her to play during the winter, since it gets dark at 17 so she can't use the house during the winter without light
And there I thought this was an actual light switch with the LEDs bein an indicator to find it in the dark.
Some of these run on four AA cells, instead of three, and with a fresh set of alkaline batteries, the current draw through the circuit is so high that the heat generated by the current limiting resistors starts to melt the plastic case.
Great poundland gadget, although the batteries fade quite quickly..
I'm guessing if you hooked this up to a 12v car battery it would burn out right
Please someone help
Hi can I run this off a usb I'm bored of killing batteries
Father in law has these under stairs unfortunately he leaves it on.Spent 10x the cost of the £2 unit on battery's. POUNDLAND RULES…ALMOST
I use it to light my porch at night. They're pretty good for porch. Downside is batteries last about 3 ~ 4 hrs not even over night. I tried to ac adapter it. Wires were burning may be reversed polarities I don't know. Your voice sound like the guy on YouTube multimeter reviews with some engineering degree background. If you're, will you please do "how to ac adapter it" video? I'll appreciate it very much!
I used it to light up our pumpkin on Halloween.
Now available in poundland for £2
I have one that must be made by the same company, but instead of a switch it has a potentiometer to dim it. Mine doesn't have a resistor in it though. I wired a USB cable to it so I don't have to use batteries but was wondering if I should put a resistor in it? Do you think I should or do you think it will be ok?
