These things are commonly sold in the UK for taking abroad and using in your hotel room at night to deter the risk of mosquito bites when sleeping. It's quite odd that the Raid one has a square pin plug on it.
These devices use vaporiser pads which are basically a piece of cardboard wick soaked in pyrethrins. A chemical derived from or based on a natural chemical that plants like Chrysanthemums use to protect themselves against insects. While the vapour is harmless to humans, it interferes with the nervous systems of insects.

It's definitely a clearer sound and it wasn't as loud as I thought it was going to be.
You sound like you're in a barrel with that microphone
How do they compare with the thermacell?
Mic works a treat. Doesn’t seem louder (w/o headphones) but definitely clearer.
why did you say its commonly sold in the uk "for taking abroad"?…does the UK not have mosquitoes??
the raid one is for use in Cyprus hence the uk plug
mic sounds mellow I like
Mic got rid of the "In a bucket sound" and an improvment, though a long time has passed anyway.
Sounds ok to me.. slightly richer than the one swapped out..
Great wee mic. Much warmer sound.
Your mic is more condensed, less hiss. Keep it.
richer sound
