Making trash cider even trashier. Truly the champagne of the working class. Also full of appley vitamins and minerals essential to maintain a fine physique.
Today I learned that in the USA your standard cider isn't alcoholic. It's literally apple juice. In the UK cider is a standard alcoholic beverage like beer.
I'm not sure how many actual apples were involved in this huge bottle of cheap cider, but I have a feeling that water, sugar, ethanol, malic acid, flavouring and colourant will feature heavily in the ingredient list. Basically a fortified soft drink for blue collar royalty.
It took carbonation well, as indicated by the bottle being much less full now, and this description going a bit off the track.
But the question is - will cloudy cider fare so well?
Technical update:- 1 litre of cider absorbed 11g of carbon dioxide.
If you enjoy these videos you can help support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and random gadgets for disassembly at:- http://www.bigclive.com/coffee.htm
This also keeps the channel independent of YouTube's algorithm quirks, allowing it to be a bit more dangerous and naughty.

Cider. It's full of fruity goodness and officially one of your five a day. But the question is, will it carbonate? I Mean it already starts off pretty fizzy, but can we get more Fizz into it? So I've chosen Frosty Jacks for its quality. Uh, well, yes, it's quality.
Quantity Actually, Yes quantity. And this, uh, comes in incidentally at 7.5 by volume. So let's fill one of the big bottles up of this well puts I think this holds about a liter. which is fine.
Is it a liter? Oh, this is quite unwieldy because it's a very, very big plastic container. but I'm pouring it in there. It does look fairly fizzy. not half as fizzy as when I finished doing this.
I would hold it up, but uh, there's just as cider is going to go everywhere if I do that. So I'm almost up to the Mark I'm almost up to the mark. It is already very, very fizzy. I mean uh, it's it's foaming up already and the experiment hasn't even begun.
But that's okay. That sometimes happens. Not as bad as when I did it with the beer though. I'm preemptively speaking, it might even be worse.
But I now have my portion of fruit into the container. It does say 100 apple cider, but probably not 100 apples. I'll put that down there I shall slot it into the Sodastream I shall close it and we shall start the carbonation experiment at this point I Do feel once again obliged to say that SodaStream don't recommend carbonating anything but water in their units in case of huge Appley explosions. And yes, I'm doing this at 2 am.
It's probably a bad idea, but you know I just got the urge. It's taking plenty. It is Well chilled. All these uh experiments involved well-chilled liquid.
first modulation, second fartulation. Let's go for the Triple formulation that was the triple fertilization. It was a very big fart solution, but it was a fartulation. This is gonna maybe take a while to clear.
Let's try it out. Ah, it's so Frosty and I don't know why they call it Frosty Jacks Because it's even frostier now that I've squirted CO2 into it. Oh, it does look like it's clearing quite quickly. Why does it look like it's clearing quicker than when I put it in straight in the bottle or am I speaking preemptively.
Oh, here come the bubbles. Here come the bubbles. Oh no, that's it. That's it.
It's sorted. Is it bubbly? Is it? Oh yeah, bubbly. let's pour some into this. Glencairn glass.
Someone suggested just waiting with your finger and it sort of stops the air. They actually recommend wiping the nose and then put no, no, that's disgusting to actually break the bubbles and uh, prevent formula As it is, it's not really going to do much because as soon as it hits the glass, it wants to unleash all its aptly foam. Maybe I should have tried this beforehand, but you know what? No, no I'll just try after the carbonation. this is looking good.
So far. it's the champagne for the working class. Uh, it's also very patternful. Um, it's super fizzy. It just turns into foam as soon as it hits your mouth. Um, oh I'd say yes. That is a good result. So the question is will cytocarbonate? Well, oh I should mention cloudy cider.
I've not tried that, but it's got lots of nucleation points that might not work so well. But this clear side of the mass-produced generic Frosty Jacks type cider. It does carbonate. It takes lots of carbon dioxide, so that is a win.
yay soyclive!
Always brings a smile to me mug
Once in Lincoln I saw a guy walking along with 3 bottles of that stuff over his shoulder in a plastic bag.
U should be very disappointed in urself for calling it hard cider for the stupid yanks
