Who even came up with idea of a head torch that can't even be aimed into your field of view?
The circuitry is fine. The LED panel is OK (wide angle COB). The case is mostly great.... but it fires most of the light outwith your field of view.
It's like an LED bike light with a head strap on it. Maybe that's its intended purpose, although it seems a bit wide angle for that. Am I missing something? It just seems so bad for the quality of construction.
At 4V the white LED array passes 450mA
At 3.6V the white LED array passes 300mA
At 4V the red LED array passes 260mA
At 3.6V the red LED array passes 210mA
The processor cuts off at around 2.7V
Provisional lithium cell test indicated a capacity of 300mAh.

This light is quite good on the back of a mountain bike, car drivers love the flashing red and white mode I've noticed

My favourite pile of crap head torch was a model, that we used to sell in our hobby shop. Not only it hadn't any protection for cell itself, but because protection was inside of provided charging lead, you cannot charge it and not destroy it by any other, generic charging lead. It needed 3,7 V charging voltage, and we never had spare leads for customers, that lost theyr provided one. We got rid of them when couple people returned these torches with swolen battery packs…

A piece of foam just at the top would solve the issue. The stuff you use for drafts on doors and windows. Sticky backed too. It would push the top forward and change the angle of the torch. This method technically makes it adjustable.

what if it is fixed angled and you had it upside down making it angle up?
    or your forehead is beveled.
ever take a hard hit to the noggin?

for reference that second part was said in jest. love your videos!

This looks really neat for putting magnetic or doublesided tape on its back to stick it to stuff.

Well, except for that afwul three mode switch.

As the light was unboxed I thought the settings/run time grid looked familiar, it's the same font/graphics as my Niterider front bike light packaging. Ironic they used that as the torch looks like it's actually based on one of the many rip offs of Lezyne Zecto drive lights.
