A look inside a fairly common aquarium air pump from ebay.
It's actually fairly generic inside, with the only oddity being a lip of some sort of resin or something on the end of the magnet. Not sure if it is for a purpose or a manufacturing blip.

Another dual purpose device. If all the fish die by the LED fish tank decoration, then you can use the pump for 50Hz delight.
Very handy for keeping the nutrient solution fresh if you are into the indoor hydroponic cultivation of lettuces… Yeah… That's definitely it… Lettuces.
I wonder if a hazer could be made from an air pump?
Looks like a cheap clone of an old air pump we used back in the early 1970's made by Delta. We used to put it on a towel we had folded several times to quieten it down.
Does it provide oxygen for fish
Thanks for this…. I have been enjoying your videos for a while now…. Having a few aquariums I have always wondered what they look like inside…. Merry Christmas Clive! Keep up the good work!
I think my ozone generator has this exact pump with a different case style.
can we Modify it as air vacuum pump by hooking another pipe on its instoke piston ???????
Sometimes these little devices really surprise me– so simple and yet so effective. Not awe-inspiring, but very clever sometimes.
You knoo, im not 100% sure about that.
Some hair trimmers have the same mechanism. Good and reliable.
I don't understand why people bother with the plug adapters – surely its easier to cut the old plug off
and wire a new UK plug onto the product …..I remember the good old days – if you bought any new electrical item you had to wire a plug yourself !
