I don't think this is a new concept, but this version is actually quite neat. It's also surprisingly robust, very serviceable and works well with both alkaline and NiMh cells.

Didn't know you could get e-cigs with AAA batteries, been avoiding them as I'm not sure if the lithium ones come with a battery protection and charge circuit. In this case I could quite easily mod it with my own charge/protection circuit, there's so much space for a potential mod. Cheers.
