An interesting if somewhat dangerous way of making an artwork by blowing up a 4700 ohm quarter watt resistor by applying 240V directly across it, thus overloading it considerably. Camped up slightly for fun.

I was considering doing something similar (outside of course) but realized my flimsy 16 gauge wires would probably melt first from the 12.5 watts or so I had planned. And I can't be assed to solder on some thicker wires… for now.
