A quick look round a typical Bally electro mechanical reel mechanism, from a slot machine (fruit machine in the UK). Showing the win combination circuitry and hold mechanisms.

The center reel will only advance one symbol while the outer two spin when the arm is pulled. Advice on how to remedy?

My reels have stopped spinning. Does anyone have a suggestion on what I can do? I tried putting WD-40 on the levers but that did not work.

I have an old nickel slot machine ,Bally manufacturing, numbers on tag are 809-ZZB and MT-16118. Where can I find some technical assistance while working on this machine I think it's probably an minor electrical or mechanical issue It is an older machine with no IC boards. I would love to get this thing going. I consider myself mechanical and electrical inclined as it has been my life long trade, however there is a lot of part's in this machine and I have no manuals or support of any kind to direct me and advise of possible problem

Iโ€™ve picked up a fruit machine for free,Iโ€™ve changed the battery on the motherboard and Iโ€™ve changed the switch on the power supply, the machine is still dead,Iโ€™ve opened the power supply and one of the capacitors has a bulged top, could this be a issue

I have a Bally Tunnel Target that has the same set up here. They all work good but, it always pays 1 coin less than what is stated. I think it is the first reel that is causing the issue. Can the wiper arm be adjusted maybe 1 more contact? Thanks. Rick

the UK version is a little different from the US ones, for one thing none of our relays had those plastic covers, it was all just open. And none of the machines here had that hold feature. I've always wondered what the math was on holding a reel and spinning again, which I think is how it worked.

I've watched your videos but it doesn't help me with my issue. The machine is just like yours- works fine until it hits a payout, then it empties all the coins in the hopper without stopping until all are paid out. Any suggestions of what is causing that – relationship, switch ?

Do you have contact info to help with a electromechanical issue. Unit looks identical to what you are showing. It was my grandma's and passed to me when she passed away. I can manually pull the reels holds back but they won't release and spin.

What could be the problem if Reel 2 only spins ca. 2 Symbols per Spin (Reel 1 and 3 are spining normaly)?
