Holy shit, I do that with my soda cans too.
I started doing it to identify which one's mine in a family of 5.

Barr soft drinks with a shot or two of brandy is my go to for a DIY alcopop haha
kinda prefer whatever with either diet Orange soda or diet lemon soda (sunkist preferred ) which seems hard to find the lemon flavored of late :O
did this with blue absinthe, could see the wormwood oil floating on top of the coke and the colour turned a browny green. i called it swamp juice
That's very green. Almost frog green 🙂 I really don't want to dismiss what you like to drink. If you like it got for it. Diet Pepsi certainly deserves it. As for Absinthe snobs the green color is not supposed to be food coloring. Which your version seems to have lots of 🙂 I might be wrong, but if you ever feel like going for Absinthe straight (with ice water) try Lucid, St George or maybe Kübler. A more mature and attractive green fairy will be making an appearance. She might not be into the hardware-hacker part though.
All this aside, Absinthe has a fascinating history and a shot worth is certainly a good start into the weekend in any form…
