Having really liked the previous illuminated USB lead with the fibre optic down the middle, I had high hopes for this different style.
But sadly no. Its illumination is patchy and concentrated at the ends.

    ive got 2 of those from pounland with the hearts and diamonds on with red illumination and they both light up all the way along.

    I wonder if scratching a track/spiral that is denser in the middle of that tubing would cause more light to escape in the middle, evening out the light.

    Ive seen cables similar to the former nicer unit that have points of lights in a chasing effect that travels towards the micro USB end 🙂 if you found one of those id love to know how they accomplish that.

    It's a neat idea, but it CAN work for shorter lengths of tubing. Hm… I wonder what it would be like having a digital clock with segments made like this? It could almost have some sort of neon like effect.
