    Removing the front glass of a GU10 is quite simple: when you “boil” the lamp in a thin layer of water (approx. 1cm) for 5 – 10 minutes.
    The hot water causes the glue to lose its strength and the glass can easily be pried off by means of a thin screwdriver or a knife.

    what's the purpose of the 470nf cap and 1M ohm resistor ? current limiting ?

    They arrived at 5W by pulling the shenanigans that many generics do.  Those seem to be 250mW LEDs, so they just did 18 LEDs x .25W = 4.5W + driver inefficiency or rounded up to 5W.

    Unfortunately they also often rate the lumens based on what they would have been at 250mW and 25C temperature.when the actual output is probably closer to 150lm.

    You forgot the equasions:
    For really shitty vendors
    Watts = ChinaWatts / 3
    For less shitty vendors:
    Watts = ChinaWatts / 2
