I like these pens a lot, but the thick line they lay down tends to make them get through ink quite quickly. Fortunately it's easy to refill them with standard inkjet printer style ink.
I've made a video covering the refilling with a slightly more complex method, but this one is MUCH faster and easier.

Excellent video ! … ( I used to drill a tiny hole in the barrel .. fill up , with a syringe + needle .. then seal the hole with tape ! ! ) …. MUCH better technique ! ……………… DAVE™ ……………..
Does the tip of the v sign become weaker once it has been removed? Is it still tough and durable? I love these pens
What if it starts to leak I tried this on my v5 and it was leaking a lot and I don't want destroy a great pen
Where can I find the ink sir?
Hola qué tipo de tinta usaste ? Saludos desde Panamá .
I have been trying to figure this out for so long! I always see BigClive writing with a purple V-Sign pen, but the ink was black. I was so confused. Early on I assumed it was the white balance of his camera making it look darker than it was.
Hello, our dearest Clive!
Initially I thought you've been using a roller pen, which is a hybrid of a ubiquitous ball pen, a fountain ink pen and a liner (you probably know it yourself, but in case anybody wonders what I'm talking about).
And I was looking for a good roller pen, despite the fact your V-Sign isn't one; and I think I succeeded with that: Schneider One Business has a similar construction (but the tip of the pen consists of a ball and its holder), it writes incredibly smooth, makes thick and distinct lines on paper, and it looks and feels really cool.
And its frontal part with the rod can be removed with one's fingers easily, so it separates into complete writing mechanism in one hand and an ink tank in the other; and the tank goes down to the very rear end of the pen, which is super cool and leaves you with a lot of ink to spend before you'll need to refill it.
You may be loving/hating such pens or be indifferent to them; still, it is Fran Blanche whom I thank for the fact that I now own several fountain pens, and it was you whom I thank for my interest in another kind of pens. Even if you never meant to convince anyone to buy and use them at all.
Thank you. And thank you again!
Thanks a lot, this is my favorite pen but it gets expensive to keep buying new ones every other week!
I love it
They last like a month or 2
which kind of ink do you use? please give a link or its name
Pilot itself should sell refill kits like this, to cut down on plastic waste.
How is it after a few refills?
Does using printer ink make it bleed through paper more than the original ink?
This works better because I used the pliers technique and dude to the amount of forced need to pull the black cylinder it can deform the opening where the tip goes. Thank you so much!
I use inkjet refill ink for a Pilot V5. It works great. 😉
Where shall I get this kind of filler
