Quite a neat little LED lamp with a standard capacitive dropper circuit and 60 standard 5mm LEDs in series. There were 15 blue and 45 red arranged in quite a pleasing random manner. So pleasing that I got the urge to modify it into a much lower power lamp purely for the visual appearance.
Pretty psychedelic your self Clive, love your work ,I've learned quite a lot from you Sir thank you.
i like your videos very much!! thank you
"More or less dead on"
Your in the new oldspice commercial!
I'm sure this is an annoyingly common question, but what sort of pens are those? They look quite nice, and I'd like to buy a few for myself.
I am not smart, but are a few of the lights not the same? I mean some of the led are somewhat out of the range of human eye, so they will seem less bright but the plants will see it
Brilliant video, very informative …… My investigations have concluded the best way to buy grow lamps are the three LED types , these are listed as 6W and contain 3x3w leds, under driven with lens…. on Ebay they sell 1 to 1.50 pounds (UK) inc post …unbeatable.
The question I would ask does it actually put out the correct light in Angstroms to be a grow light?
clive, PLEASEEE do a workshop/workbench tour! id love to see your power supply and how you store your bits! if you do a workshop tour i promises i will do one too!
I prefer the settings of this video Clive. I would like a larger view of your workbench though.
Have you seen the LED bulb kits you can get from Ebay?! I was looking for some cheap electronic kits for a maker event and spotted them. They look interesting, if a bit disturbing that someone unaware of the dangers of mains electricity could happily mess about with them.
The set up on this video works well.
+bigclivedotcom your changes have made a huge improvement from what I can tell from this video.
The lighting and fixed exposure give a big improvement. I agree with others that a mid grey background would be better. Ideally one would have a fill light at the bottom of the shot, but of course this is where you are sitting. Wearing a white shirt would reflect a fair bit of light though. Alternatively a light to the left and right of your table might work nicely.
Many thanks for all your video work Clive. It is both fascinating and informative.
