Have you ever wondered what sort of noise someone's 12V LED floodlight would make when they inadvertently connected it directly to the mains? Well wonder no more. (Sadly the automatic audio gain managed to suppress the true volume of the very satisfying bang.)

I did this exactly, because the box was labelled 240V.

Anyone know what CC chip they use in these 12V floods?
I like how he is shaking every time he touches a mains connector. He is clearly somebody who experienced what happens when he touches theย wrongย one.

Eh, I was just thinking of the macarena song. Deja schmoo! Wait, wrong channel….
ehhhh macerena POP
Ive always wondered how they get the black color on the heatshrink
just scored a nice outdoor 100-277v led flood light that went bad and need replacing. took it apart and all that was wrong with it was the negative leg came loose from the board just barely hanging on. ridiculous how flimsily they soldered it on. the driver must have been getting overworked the whole time but it still survived. it's now an overkill living room light or work light if need be.
