This was one of several items I got from an interesting ebay seller with a wide variety of LED modules. It's a 12W 220V unit with a cover over all the live bits and a set of three magnets for mounting it into a standard bulkhead fitting.

If the aluminium backplate acts as such a strong capacitor (that you can light up LEDs), wouldn't that set off your auto-breaker, if grounded?

Hi, Clive, I have two 230v to 12v dc supplies and have fitted a 12v led strip with 6 LEDs on the strip but they only last about one year under the kitchen cabinets do you have a suggestion to replace them with something that will last longer?

Do you know those par can type of dimmable led lamp that is like an aluminium heat sink enclosure, i really dont understand why the stupid manufacturers feel the need to completely pot resin the led driver board inside, because the board cant keep cool and then fails, its either a snide money making reason or the manufacturers are just seriously plain retarded.
