It appears that we've gone back 100 years to the era that radioactive products are being openly sold on eBay and Amazon as "health" devices.
Justin at YouTube channel The Thought Emporium has investigated these devices and his video linked below is well worth watching and quite frankly jaw-dropping with regards to what is being sold online.
However, I'd just like to point out that traditional electronic ionisers are NOT radioactive. To celebrate this I decided to take a vintage negative ion generator apart and reverse engineer it.
Here's a link to Justin's squirmy video:-

Keep an eye open for people who may be wearing these things or who might be the type to buy them and spread the word.
The electronic ionisers work by generating a high negative voltage with respect to ground and applying it to sharp points, either needles or carbon fibre bundles. The air at the tips of the needles is charged with extra electrons and this causes airborne impurities to be attracted to adjacent grounded surfaces. They use very little power to passively precipitate airborne impurities out of the air. Often less than the power indicator neon.
If you enjoy these videos you can help support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and random gadgets for disassembly at:-

This also keeps the channel independent of YouTube's advertising algorithms allowing it to be a bit more dangerous and naughty.

Hello to my brother Philip 👍
More blasts from the past
I just purchased a platinum pro evian ionic air purifier..is it radioactive? I need to know because I have a family
Ill take farting over cancer thank you.
If nothing else it's clearly pretty old from the unsheathed pins on the plug.
So do most negative ion units spit out radioactive fumes?
It should have an output of – 60 to – 120 kilo volts. If there is a desire to have a healing effect. In the inputs of the living organism, form antioxidants.
Omg lol sticks his tongue out puts his fingers in it Loool Omg big Clive you’re to much brother man
Not radioactive but still useless and emit ozone
Do U know if anyone makes a decent non-radio-active ionizer today?
We had one of the tower ionizers, 1 in each room and i remember them getting disgusting, but everything else in said rooms were fairly clean, a lot cleaner then they are now.
But does it produce ozone?
The radioactive solution to cure the disease by killing the host… Life is full of disease and suffering so I guess you could say death is a cure for the underlying cause of suffering, which is life… But I don't think people would accept that, not even in court.
Justin also said that these release ozone particles in a recent video so these might also be a bad product. I know you did not say anything about these being good or bad but just wanted to comment.
Where can I purchase a ionizer that gives me the same effect as I get while sleeping while it is raining which gives me a restful sleep?
So basically a dust collector… Let's put one inside my pc case.

If I'm not mistaken, units like this produce ground-level ozone which burns and scars lung tissue. Please do not use this beep.
