I've looked at one of these before, and the only real change is the better choice of cable and the omission of the case around the internal power supply.
This unit is fairly functional. It produces a useful narrow beam of light that is ideal for mirror balls and creating a sharp beam through hazy air.
The power rating on the listing is double the reality, but to the benefit of the LED and driver which both stay surprisingly cool, largely helped by the good (ungrounded) heatsink.
The optics are pretty good with a glass front lens and adjustable inner lens.
Everything can be serviced by people like us who have no qualms about changing a driver or LED.
This is another of these products that is worth getting for the case alone as it could form part of a customised light for use at any desired voltage, colour and intensity.
Here's a typical search link:-

Target price around $10.

A bit of card glued to the case so the wires only touch the card.

I have a pinspot very similar to this only there isn't a cooling fan…..basically a plastic tube with a lens at one end and a 15 watt led bulb at the other…….Is it possible to put a 40 watt led bulb in this package…?….Also I know nothing about any of this…..

Does the front glass lens get hot or could you use printed paper rondells for a temporary colour change provided you used a white led ? Perhaps even glue in a thin round and flat piece of acrylic/plexi before the lens to put the "colour filter" on.

I play in a covers band and am our lighting "tech" 😉 We have a modest light set up with decent quality moving heads, pars etc, I bought some of these a while ago and they are fantastic for shining at angles across the set up when we use the hazer. Very effective for the price. There's a zoomable 30 watt rgbw allegedly which I'm thinking but not sure of the beam angle, I'd want straight like these. I'll get to the bottom of it.

What lens to use for 100w cob for tight beam? Basically a 100w version of this

Looks like you could actually put a small LCD screen in front of a super bright LED in there & have a great base for a small diy video projector… 🤔
You could also do transparencies for Halloween projections, etc

Question… Can you flip the outside lense to create a fill light?

i just ordered one of these lights – how would i go about making it fade on/off like an incandescent bulb (fade up when powered on, fade down when powered off)?

I got one of these in the U.S. and the light output is very weak. From eBay Item 392518326733: Power: 5W
    , Voltage: 90-240V, Lumen: 200-220LM

More junk from the CCP. It’s unfortunate retailers like Walmart have taken away our choice to buy American made products. But then again it was the politicians that sold out the middle class manufacturing jobs. They talk of bringing back medical manufacturing. But you can see the writing on the wall. The politicians like China Joe Biden will fill their pockets like always. Will I ever see a toaster made in America on a Walmart shelf? No. I would rather pay more for an American made product that will last for years. Everything from China is junk and your not saving money shopping at Walmart. Would you rather have a job making something or have a job at Walmart? Every Walmart store costs the tax payers up to a million dollars in worker entitlements like food stamps. But the Walmart family has billions. China has cost the world trillions so where’s the savings?
