This experiment was inspired by another video where someone discovered that bananas changed colour while being irradiated with UVC light.
Here's the video that inspired this test:-

I thought I'd do a test on some bananas with a variety of fake and real UVC lights.
This test was more of an LED versus real UVC test. I'm not sure what the precise scientific spectral response of bananas is.
Note that the camera was not damaged by the UVC light, as it has a glass lens that blocks the most destructive wavelengths.
The LEDs definitely burned the banana with heat and not UVC energy. The LEDs are being run very hard for visual effect.
If you enjoy these videos you can help support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and random gadgets for disassembly at:-

This also keeps the channel independent of YouTube's advertising algorithms allowing it to be a bit more dangerous and naughty.

This is why you dont xharge your glow in the dark paintings with UV-C light because it emmits radiation strong enough to break the fosfor atom. Just like x-ray.
What about UVA/UVB vs UVC?
banana for scale, very cool
Ow hot is the uvc lamp? It was right next to the banana.
A few more controlled variables would help this test. But its a start I guess
This is a damn worry. If a real ultraviolet lamp can produce such an effect on banana peel in 15 minutes, imagine what the sun can do on the beach in a day. In Hawaii, I won't do this in summer. The only time I go to the beach now is very late in the day, just before sunset. We are one of the countries with the highest incidence of skin cancer in the world. Everyone should be careful and pay attention to their skin.
A interesting story South Lake Tahoe California using UVC to kill under water invasive weeds .
apparently you didn't do any homework before you did this LAME non-test… LMAO… and you didn't have any other conclusion except "color change"? can we say LAME CLICKBAIT?🤔
Today I am testing my intense u v c only source on my wheat grass to see it's overall effect and mainly to see if a short exposure will eliminate mold growth on ungerminated seeds.
5-6 minutes and no more, as I am positive this could kill them dead in a very short time. As it may.
It makes me wonder what this test would do with a UVB light source? 🤔
You can tell which one is the real UVC lamp in the first frame, only one of the lamps has yellowed plastic parts
Steins Gate vibes
We need no longer fear the banana.
2022 Uvc radiation is now ground level uva a & uvb radiation has dramatically increased🌞 💚💜✊🏾
He stated in the description that it’s burned from temp not the uvc.. but said it was.. I don’t guess he knows what he is doing
Nice test!!!! Thanks!!!!
This is a test on what UV can do to male physiological part?? 😗😗
just remember that this is a test on plants trying to create a sun indoors… ivc is very effective if used in moderation
Lets tan some bananas.
