This American designed mousetrap is sold in the UK under the Rentokill brand. It's interesting in that it uses a pair of metal pads to zap the mouse for a short time.
Here's a link to Shawn Wood's video showing the trap working:-

Shawn lives on a farm and controls unwanted rodents out of necessity. He features lots of new and old mousetraps including 3D printed versions sent in by viewers.
He used to show them working in more detail, but fell victim to militant flagging on YouTube and now censors the demos.
I'd like to stress that I'm not into animal cruelty at all. I think mice and rats are quite cute and know that people often keep rats as pets. However, I'm also aware that there are some environments where you just don't want mice or rats breeding.
If you enjoy these videos you can help support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and random gadgets for disassembly at:-

This also keeps the channel independent of YouTube's advertising algorithms allowing it to be a bit more dangerous and naughty.

People complain about the strangest things, seeing the mouse killed is the best way to see if it is a merciful and swift humane kill or not. I would be more upset if this thing took multiple jolts to kill the mouse.

If you ever want a nice Fluke meter that HAS a Low-Ohm/Hi-Res function (down to 3 places after the decimal for Lo-Ohms), grab yourself an older Fluke 88 Automotive Multimeter. I bought one brand spankin new back in about 1998, and i think they were in the $700-$800 range back then, but they are quite affordable for a second hand one today. Its a NICE meter with alot of special functions that the regular Flukes dont have.
    I know you'd love it… 👍

As a wildlife control agent in the state of Virginia the best rodent control is to STOP FEEDING THEM! However, if one does need a control method I recommend a black rat snake. Your rodent dilemma will be taken care of quickly and the snake will leave once there is no more food. Simple. 😁👍

I worked in a 6 bed facility, and my boss brought the sticky traps. When I'd bring the laundry into the garage, I'd hear the squeaks of agony. My heart couldn't take it.

I rushed to YouTube to find out how to free the little guy. I did what I could with what I had. Jumped in my car, and freed the little guy in a field about 2 miles from the house. 😞
