For this years Department of Villainy lighting frame I decided to use standard common USB/battery powered LED stars, but converted to 12V and in eight different colours.
Here's the process of stripping off the original 3V strip and replacing it with standard 12V strip.

I don't know why but I just can't stop thinking about the fact that your website is one of the few websites that my (crap) phone is able to load (without the pictures, as the phone seems to be incapable of displaying pictures from webpages, the phone also lacks the ability to use wifi, and is limited to 2G and 3G)
dont alkaline batteries go boom no matter how you try to charge them?
I was wondering where you got those LED lights, they look great!
"Big, Ugly and makes bad connections". I've come across electricians that meet that description. Good to see you're using the Isopropyl trick on hot melt I've been plugging it for ages but people still don't know about it just don't do it anywhere near anything acrylic.
Any chance of a link to those stars? Tq
How to draw a 🌟
Mark dots where the points of the star would be…
Then connect the dots…
😉👍

Love your project builds!…
Anyone got a link to buy the parts for this? TIA.
could those LED strips be sown or glued onto clothing?
Nice video thanks Clive. How many watts per meter is that neon led flex?
Tip for drawing a star from a former bored student. All lines diagonal, only 5 lines.
Imagine a star.
Start the first line from the bottom left tip.
Up and slightly right, to the top tip.
Down and slightly right, to the bottom right tip.
Up and to the left to the left tip
Over to the right tip.
Down and to the left, back to the first tip.
You should now have a star.
I don't know who designed that power system, but they should be fired. Exploding batteries are kinda hazardous, who knew right? At least they could put in a diode or a three position switch (something like battery/off/usb).
