This started as a slight spoof of Ralfy's whisky channel, but then yielded a completely unexpected result.
Yes I did do the clickbait thing I joked about in the video.
Here's Ralfy's fairly open minded analysis of the contents of the two bottles.

If you enjoy these videos you can help support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and random gadgets for disassembly at:-

This also keeps the channel independent of YouTube's advertising algorithms allowing it to be a bit more dangerous and naughty.

If i want to make something like bourbon infused peanut butter, do i need to do the cuts or since i use a finished commercial product, there is no need to.
    Let me know 🙂
    Thank you in advance

Penderyn Myth has no added colour, it's very pale and very lovely.

Home made Manx Spirit. And yes, they do still make it. I'm occasionally tempted to buy some but the whole concept seems strange.

Really interesting video. I just have one question, when you redistill a finished product, like vodka, bourbon, and adding some flavours, do you still need to cut away heads and tails and keep the heart or there is no need to? thank you

Seemed you got a lot of Whiskey after distilling it. Its usually around 40% by volume alcohol isnt it?

WTF is this? No mention of foreshots, heads, hearts and tails. Just comes over as bung the whiskey in the kettle, walk away come back and you have done your job. Even in a airstill and usinging cheap booze, you still have to make cuts. And as for the colouring? Burned sugar, way to go. Do more research or better still, get in touch with any number of decent distilling tubers for their input.

I'm not surprised you had some carry over on the whisky flavor. You used a unit intended to boil water and made no mention of doing anything to adjust the temperature. Anything with a boiling point at or below that of water is going up into the condenser tube. On ships we could easily distill out the salt of saltwater but one time when someone pumped a bilge with some diesel in it while the evap was running, we ended up with water that tasted like diesel for a couple of days until they could flush it out. TLDR: Your whiskey may have distilled closer to "just alcohol" if the temperature was adjusted to be just barely enough to evaporate alcohol. (I don't know vapor point of the other flavors so I could be wrong). EDIT: It would also be stronger since it would leave most of the water behind so you'd end up with higher proof. More so if you stop part way through as some water molecules go with every alcohol molecule so the batch from a still is stronger at the front end and weaker at the back end.

The only reason to do this would be to do a fractional distillation so that you removed most of the water… You should have stopped when you had gotten about half the quantity that you started with (assuming it was 100 proof)…
