It would have bee interesting to see what red wine at 40% alcool would have tasted like if you did not diluted the vodka
So, ideally I would ferment the syrup left behind after distilling the wine. And see if i don't get a nice drink..
How long did you distill it and at what temperature?
There are nations who's tradition to distill wine, France = cognac, Hungary = Palinka ( distilling fermented grapes/mush, or fermented grape shells called Torkoly Palinka, or distill the wine itself for different type of Brandy or just for pure wine spirit )
Did u do any cut while the wine was coming out of the distiller? Can you do the same with beer and vermouth without any cuts?
