What's inside an Aldi Ferax dual voltage 2040 volt charger. If we remove the cover, we find a circuit board that has the mains incoming Supply going to filter going through the switchboard power supply 3 Transformer getting rectified Smooth by this capacitor on the back. We've got a mosfet leading to each of the two sections of the battery pack 20 20 volts each and we have some mysterious circuitry which monitors the voltage being fed to the batteries and also the current through them via this current sense resistor that is common to both batteries and that controls the means voltage side via this optimizely to adjust the voltage to get the correct current for charging and shut off charging. If you want more information, you can find the fill video pinned at the top of the comments down below.
Ooh… that "mysterious circuitry" looks like it's got a serial port or an ICSP.
This is a great example of what YT shorts should be. Entice me to watch your longer video with a short intro. I also like well edited videos that cram a lot of info into a short amount of time.
Love the content! How many years of tear downs before you where able to look at something like this and identify everything on sight!!! Great work
I see, of course it is getting rectum fried from within. (I meant rectified)
I'd love to hear your voice been used for a voice over on a documentary love your humor you are what we call a it is what it is guy lol.
What is all this bollox about big CLIVE in shorts…I'd pay BIG money to catch our big"un in shorts (pink of course before you ask)…ps KAZ stop STOP whinging 🤜🤛👉💎👈
Have you considered doing a whole series of short circuits in youtube shorts?
Unfortunately Aldi has never made money in Denmark and are now leaving.
There you go! Analyzed in under 60 seconds… How hard can it be… 😁
Cant find the stinky bridge rectifier?
The only shorty on Clive are these videos. I'm sure of it.
That's not the way to do shorts, Clive.
It should be 30 seconds of trying to open the case and a sudden cut just to say "subscribe to see more".
But where does it keep the magic smoke? That's the crucial question.
I'd love to see a video on how you work out the operation of these circuits.
Good morning y'all…from a bright damp South East London LALALA !!!
