I Just recently bought some equipment wire from a British supplier and I'm a bit disappointed to note that it comes with a pointless sticker just for the California residents only and it says warning cancer and reproductive harm so I thought well I'm a bit jealous about that. So I've made my own sticker for Scotland and it's our very own pointless sticker that says may contain electricity which kills we Bevis in your face California.
This just made me cackle… Brilliant work!!!

Well… meanwhile the EU has RoHS which forbids some stuff like lead completely. In "the Land of the Free" you are still able to enjoy it by licking on electronics.

The really interesting one is when you go to a swimming pool here in California that has a sign to tell you: "Persons Having Currently Active Diarrhea Or Who Have Had Active Diarrhea Within The Previous 14 Days Shall Not Be Allowed To Enter The Pool Water."

I live in California, and I go out of my way to buy products that have that label in the hopes that I’ll get cancer and drop dead sooner rather than later…🙏
I am in California and I suppose I should take offense, but I won't hehe. That Prop95 sticker appears on so many items, it's impossible to believe.
Now if the product had traces of lead in it I can understand that. I suppose the plastic reels are unsafe, and or the wire insulation?
Trace elements of copper however does help the human body produce red blood cells, but I wouldn't recommend chewing on or digesting the actual wire. 😉
I have to stick these stickers on many of the plastic fabrications I build at work. The thing is, this is a proposition law (Mid 1980s), with no elected legislators huddled in large halls, just the good old voting public. I detest proposition laws.
