If it's worth doing it's worth doing with excess. Having bought 100 of the wireless LEDs before discovering that the exciter coil already came with some, I got the urge to see if I could get them all to light at once.
Note that some of the LEDs are hacked. It's the ones with double LEDs if you can spot them. I removed the tiny PCB and soldered two LEDs in inverse parallel directly to the inductor.
The ambient current of the unloaded coil was 80mA. With 110 LEDs in it the current went up to 200mA.
There's a longer video showing the circuitry and some oscilloscope waveforms here:-

110 wireless leds in one exciter coil, let's see if it can light them all power on light off. Yes, it lights them all, there's a link to a longer technical video. In the description, if you want a bit more information.
Then you bump the table and 1/2 of them fall over.
Lame. Do 100,000.
If Clive doesn't do it then who will?
Clive Tesla 😉
Do you have a link to the LEDs or are you just using the ones that came with the coil? Ordered mine yesterday. Love this.
Short and to the point!
Made me think about a kaleidoscope!
Ha! I played it at .25 speed just to get value for money!
I'm surprised you didn't create a number in the coloured dots, although I am colour blind so maybe you did 🙂
A+ use of shorts, I appreciate your making it an on-ramp to a real video.
feckin shorts, feckin youtube lol
Crikey – this must be the shortest YT video ever – yet still more interesting than many 10 times the length!
Damn, that was fast!
Sweet, cheers Clive
