Doing pre-show checks on VL5's on various areas of the stage to detect lamp or colour issues. Also a troll along a gantry to check the PAR cans on either side. This video is where I discovered that my camera really eats the memory card when it's recording in high definition, so the video ends quite abruptly as I get to the end of the gantry and subsequent videos were recorded in lower resolution after deleting some older videos to make space.
When you went up onto the catwalk and had your phone near the edge it made me anxious XD
I hope you caught the troll… ๐
do you work at prg
Wow. That is one hell of a set up.
And that cable management. Man I wish the corporate gigs over here were as organized and had cables runs that neat.
Such a nice view of the city, and such a lovely day for Scotland. Unforantly my memories of Edinburgh is tainted by all the stairs destroying my legs while wandering between pubs.
How many movers do you tend to use all in all on something like the Tattoo? Would be fascinated to see a video on the follow spots too if you haven't already done one – always wondered how they're aimed and shuttered and whatnot…
Have you got to see these guys there ? I marched in a Drum & Bugle corps here in the USA for many years . Top Secret Drum Corps – Edinburgh Military Tattoo
I didn't know you did the Tattoo – well… some of your teardowns gave it away. If you do reply, what do you do? Electrician, or something like Lighting Designer?
I'm in the US and I have ask, where is this arena and whats it used for? Doesn't look big enough for a sporting event.
Wow PAR tungsten lights! We got rid of the filament PAR lamps we rent out awhile ago and replaced with RGB LED versions.
Makes my time flying the lights at an amdram theatre look like I was twiddling a dimmer switch… ๐
