Another neat little light from Poundland. This time it's a hanging push-light where you press the front diffuser dome to turn a single 4.8mm straw-hat LED on and off. I guess it's designed for camping, cupboard or power-failure situations, and it certainly puts out a useful amount of light.
The construction of this light is actually very good. It's also very easy to swap the LED and resistor.

Fun, thanks. You forgot(?) to measure across the new resisitor to get the actual/new current.. ๐
Clive where are your alkaline batteries in the UK made? China or made in the UK or imported from the USA? Just curious.
There's enough space inside there for your "Joule Thief" which could make that lamp last 50 years+ on 3 AAA's ๐ ๐ ๐
What an impressive battery placement design. Well done poundland.
I got some warm white 5mm led's that can take 100mA and 150mA pulse. I got them to mod my nightcore tube and they work fine. Try searching for "0.3W or 0.5W 5mm led warm white" on ebay and choose the german dealer.
Warm whites the way to go ๐
Living in SW Florida I can't stand warm white lighting… might have something to do with the low temperature at night rarely dipping below 80ยฐF (~27ยฐC). Funny how the climate we live in affects our lighting preference…
That is a well-built light for just one of your mighty pounds.
it's about time Poundland started sponsoring your channel.
big Clive watched loads of your vids iam interested if you would make me a high powerd led light system for my plants and fish. I would pay you of corse love the work
There symbol looks similar to overwatch's logo.
I totally understand your preference for warm white LED lights. I stayed in a hotel the other day with blaring cool white LEDs everywhere and I felt like I was in a hospital or something. Not relaxing at all.
Hello, I am thinking of renovating a 1950's "Ever Ready" torch. Could anyone let me have a bulb and 2 batteries ? When I have finished this interesting project, I intend to insert it into my anus and sit at home for the rest of my life watching big Clive videos whilst shouting "wibble wibble" at the screen………….
isn't cool white better lumens than the warm white equivalent? if so warm white would not be so good for a battery light ?
So no in is gonna talk about the obvious Overwatch logo rip off
Speaking of warm white LEDs, Clive, do you remember those V-tac LED bulbs you disassemble? Just week ago I found, that they sell 'em in three color temperatures; cold white, day white (4500K) and warm white (2700K). I bought 12W version, I am a bit curious, how it will looks like. I am worried about temperature, since it looks just like chep plastic case with no heat sink. I will see. But to my point, if you can find 'em in stores around you, you can try 'em also, in some shops they look dirty cheap (I see it in one e-shop for 2 euros).
Sounds like it would be for camping. Escape to the countryside, or something.
