Yet another of the single use chargers with a fully rechargeable cell inside. This one takes it one step further with a full power bank chip. It's literally just missing a resistor, capacitor, LED and charge connector to make it a fully rechargeable unit.
But on a plus note it can be used as a cheap and easily available source of 500mAh metal cased lithium cells if suitable cell protection is used. Or if you patch in the extra components you can recharge it from a USB power source.
This unit represents very poor value compared to even the most basic Poundland powerbank. The only advantage is its slim size.
If you really need a powerbank for a festival I'd strongly recommend a proper high capacity unit.

I have a feeling if you buy a dozen of these, they would all have different batteries in them. They take batteries from the junk yard an "recycle" them into these.

At 2£ for about 500 mAh, it's the worlds most expensive recharge. Come to 20£ per full phone charge.

I wonder considering the power pod battery is similar looking to a Nokia battery, could these cells be 2nd life, repurposed or remanufactured from e waste?

Why is the battery so big? I have a 720mAh battery and it's the size of a small servo.

should there be a ban on using rechargable lithium ion batteries in throwaway non rechargable devices like desposable powerbanks & vapes.
if the battery inside is 650MAH at 3.7V. the device is sold with a 5V usb output. at 5v it should hold 481MAH.
if the device is sold as a single unit with a USB (5v) output and not intended to ever be opened would selling/marking/advertising it as 650MAH be miss selling or falsely advertising the item ?

Even if these devices were not allowed to be sold in any high st store for environmental reasons, ebay and the lesser knowns would still have zero trouble in offering them
