This is by far the most different types of Xmas lights Poundland has ever stocked at one time. They have a huge range of lights that are worth getting just for the range of caps alone to make up custom strings of lights. In this video we take a look at a selection of what's available and I choose the best, then try some random caps on another large LED string.

"Traditional" push in tungsten lamps are quite modern really. They were screw-in when I were a kid. 🙂

Also I have a blown set of tungsten multicoloured fairy lights. They lasted a good almost 4 years maybe due to the fact they were 99P store versions what would you recommend doing since shops are not selling them now?

We must settle for "Dollar General" in the U.S. – no fun names like "PoundLand". haha. They did have a huge stock of leftovers after Christmas, selling for $.75 and $.50 ! That's almost free. Local druggist also had 75% off sales on 100 light strings of clear & colored incandescent bulbs – .75 ! I use them as general lighting, inside and out. Inside on dimmer switches, so they last for years.

So I'll go out on a limb and guess Clive knows how and why these things fail and malfunction 91 days after purchase. Any uploads pertaining to repair for LED strings? I've got some 25-lamp outdoor ones that are acting up some crazy, not totally dead but dimmed, some flickering, seems to be temperature related? I just hate to do what China wants me to do, trot out and buy more of this crap, haha!

Poundland have their 'summer' range of lights in early and they have started labelling them 'warm glow' … 'cool glow'…. 'pink glow' …. so you won't have to guess anymore !
