Another interesting little light from Pound World. This time a mini COB light that runs from two CR2032 lithium button cells.
The six pin chip that controls the LED is marked HJ6x1 and seems to be a common bike/head/flash light controller

Oh, mine doesn't have the circuitboard. How sad it can't strobe on me!
These were available at W.H. Smiths in Coventry untìl fairly recently. I bought one and am quite happy with it but from memory it cost around £3.50.
Someone else here pointed out that if the switch is held down for a few seconds it will switch to slow morse SOS which could save a life in some circumstances which is an additional feature not pointed out on the case. Neat.
I hear you about the post office. They raise the rates every January, and yet continually claim to be losing money…
It is cheaper to send a post card from Singapore to Germany, than within Germany…
Metal can attach to light right?
I have red, yellow, green and blue light
Y NOT turn of the light and show the brightness ?
Going back through your videos after finding you recently – just wanted to comment it would cost me at a minimum 22aud to send you something – probably closer 50aud by the time it has any weight behind it.
Love from Pakistan. Sir you are making great videos, very informative.
Canadians have the same problem buying from the US. A $3 part costs $25 to send it. I buy Canadian or from China.
But the key question is, how bright is it and how long did it run for before it went dim. Perhaps you could turn the lights off and illuminate the room or garden with it?
If you think US Post charges a lot, you should see what Canada Post charges! US Post looks like a bargain from Canada
Worth noting that these will work with a single 2032 (though not as bright) using a 5p coin as spacer. Chip is same as FM2819: 16KHz PWM for low setting, 8Hz strobe and long hold SOS mode.
Yes the cost of postage in US is ridiculous.
Found a bunch of these in a gas station in the next town over from me. Next time I go in that store I'm going to grab one of these. How long does this light run on a set of 2032's? If it's not that long then I might give it the USB treatment. Should run fine on 5 volts.
