Moose answers your questions about the Tattoo audio system.
This was suddenly recorded on a phone in an improvised stand on the crew room snack table, so my apologies if the audio isn't quite as loud as it could be.
If you enjoy these videos you can help support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and random gadgets for disassembly at:-

This also keeps the channel independent of YouTube's advertising algorithms allowing it to be a bit more dangerous and naughty.

The irony of these interviews is that the audio dept has the worst audio.
great stuff. Loved that
I was a DJ and the one type of venue i hated was playing outside, you can never pump enough volume out into the earths atmosphere. Played most venues with 1kw Amp and two 12" X2 speaker units.
love the clip on mike Clive. is it that big to counteract the acoustic properties of the beard?
In software engineering one of the most annoyingly difficult things to find and fix is wild pointers and the other most annoying thing is race conditions.
Vocoder? You got T Pain up in there?
Soooo, this video is actually the first time I saw more from you besides your hands! You look totally different from how I expected you to look, but actually much more fitting! 😊
Also, the part where the third dude enters… Perfect! 👍👌😁
"I get all the money, but I've converted some of it to alcohol." And that's why everyone loves Clive =P
What is that black jack and fruit salad referring to?
Moose is a very interesting bloke. I could have listened to him go on at depth about any of the details he skimmed over here.
Thanks for bringing us this fascinating series Clive.
Really interesting videos, love the back stage info, keep them coming!
Has Moose ever been seen in the same room as Peter Gabriel?
Guys guys guys! I just need more cowbell
I used to watch the show and enjoy the music and the pageantry and all the nonsense. It's a great show.
This year, watching on iPlayer, I found myself looking up at the lights, pausing the video to see where the fireworks come from, scrolling back and forth to see if I could catch the way the follow spots worked.
I had to watch it again to relax and enjoy the show.
Thanks for the insights into how much work goes into it.
Great vid, thanks both. Good compromise between tech detail and remaining accessible/user friendly
