LED beanies are apparently a thing. So I bought a couple from China via eBay to try out. One is really bad and one is surprisingly good.
Here's a generic eBay search for the good type.

Are these 6500k LEDS?
In paranormal investigation we need light for hands free
The red lights turn green when charged
I was given one of these about 2 years ago and from that moment it or the one I bought to wear while the first is in the wash rarely leaves my head from October till March. Super warm and for general out doors stuff the light is a huge blessing. Mine is one with three white power levels and I nearly always set it to the lowest with three clicks and it lasts for ages and then easily charges over night. I had got so into LDO regulators that I had forgotten about linear current regulators like this which I used in the first ever nickel cadmium charger I made ages ago. I was puzzled how the 3 light settings were created but this is answered in the comments by BigClive noting that it is a pwm controlled light source. All in all this is my favourite cyborg attachment, much more convenient than using the torch on my phone or my watch and it keeps me warm too. Thanks for sharing!
Just close your eyes and imagine Olive and Mabel
Take the "bad" one, replace the LEDs with IR ones, and see what you look like on CCTV. 🙂
The one on the right don't buy it. The wiring is soldered on weak. The one on the left is okay. Last about an hour. Not sure if they're all the same on how long it last before you recharge it.
not a work light, more like it's for you to wear when walking to the pub so that you don't get hit by that one road user on the isle of man
Wtf is wrong in this world???….. Leds in sneakers…. Leds in t-shirts…. Now less in beanies! What's next? Leds in dental fillings!
I kind of want one of these to take to a rave.
If it had a strobe function it'd look even better, but then again that's a very easy way to send someone to the hospital so I can understand why that wasn't implemented.
If it could be modified to trigger based on audio peaks that would also kick it up a notch.
