This light is one of several items sent for us to take apart by Michal from Poland. It's an interesting style of work light with the common COB (Chip On Board) LED arrangement. It's a nice simple design with the usual COB,switch, resistor and battery arrangement. As is so often the case it uses AAA cells.
The COB itself has 6 LED chips on a generous aluminium back PCB that run at about 360mA (60mA per chip) on a set of NiMh cells.

Out of the blue, I had YouTube ask me – on the front page, not here – if I were satisfied with this video. I'm not sure if they mean the content or the recommendation. Quite odd.

I had trouble measuring resistance due to the meter leads. They measured 1.4 ohms. I replaced the wire with heavier gauge and they now read at 0 ohms. I have been doing regular testing my leads since.

I HAVE … ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS had a problem with Duracell alkaline batteries leaking. Have ruined some expensive torches of mine. No other alkaline batteries have leaked so far in all these years. Batteries like what you show here, most times last for years, unused, without leaking !!! A coin cell in a remote control that I found after 14 years, still had over 3 volts and is STILL WORKING !!

Hi sir. Love your videos. FUCKIN funny as SHIT! And informative. If I send you a pic of a remote control kitchen light fixture, you think you could help me boost the power/distance of remote?

I really like the design, is there a link to it or to a page where one can acquire one?

Clive, if you can, tell the moron marketing people at AmeCal to do something about their shipping costs. I get better rates from Togo.

Mate maybe I should send you some Australian lollies. Apparently there's loads of things that I take for granted that you can't buy overseas. Can you buy Eucalipties? They're my favourite lolly.

I have never had a leaking Zink chloride battery recently. With led they last quite long despite their low density.Just use them and just don't leave them for ages in it then dispose them properly.
The contrary happend to me shitty Duracell leaking and ruining my device.
Besides this is a nice lamp. The stand is practical for using it as work lamp.
One also could solder a red or green cob in it and use it at a party. Add a bit of selant to waterproof it

500mA from AA cells the batteries might last 5 minutes, and two ohms for your meter leads, time for some new ones methinks … thanks for posting

Nice little light! Wouldn't mind owning one myself. Unfortunately, even the things you get on ebay are not always available here in the U.S. and when they are the postage is horrible. 🙁
