I was sent this neat edge-lit channel logo by a chap called Tom. It's powered from a standard USB charger or port and has full RGB remote control.
If you enjoy these videos you can help support the channel with a dollar for coffee, cookies and random gadgets for disassembly at:-

This also keeps the channel independent of YouTube's advertising algorithms allowing it to be a bit more dangerous and naughty.

You can get a 90 quid 3d printer on gearbest/aliexpress/bangood it's very good. Names vary but you'll know which one it is by being through looking for one in the 80 to 100 pounds range.
I bought mine about a year and a half ago, it's excellent, been in near constant use and all parts are still working strong. It's got a build plate volume of 200x200x200mm and requires about 3hrs of assembly, instructions are a bit vauge but YouTube tutorial videos solve that problem.
There are others to choose from on those website obviously. But if you're looking for a good printer then that one is great. If you've got some more cash to throw at it, there's one called the cr 10, it's about £200, it's got less build time and a much larger print volume.
Filament wise, the cheap 1kg stuff of eBay or Amazon work great, no need to spend £20 on a roll, unless you want very specialist filaments like wood, steel etc.
Yep ! Please go 3D printer and laser !!
I need somebody to follow with how its done and what to use.,
i always wanted it but didnt have any good reasons or projects to get them. Or free money to get them.
Would be standing around as dust catchers mostly i guess…
Now money could be freed, but time is missing a lot :-/
The top and bottom are probably first layers of each print. Depending on the finish of your print bed, you can get quite mirror finish like first layers. And yes, you should definitely should get a 3D printer. The cheaper ones can involve a fair bit of fine tuning, but if set up correctly many of them are quite good.
It's definitely not the out of the box printing you get with normal 2D printers and 3D printing can be a little frustrating at times. But I doubt you'd have much trouble figuring it out. And once you get the hang of it, a 3D printer can be an incredibly useful thing to have. 😉
Hi Clive, Would you be so kind as to ask tom if he could make one for me? If so, what would be the price of one? My plastic will be around 18mm thick and approx, 100 mm long. I would get the exact measurements if he could do it. or if you could send me his link. much appreciated and keep up the great work. 🙂
I would suggest to get a hold of Tech2C or anyone else able in your neighborhood about acquiring a 3D printer for yourself. The Home-Built models can be made for a decent price or even the knock-off versions may do pretty well. Try for at least a 6"x6"x6" or 200mmx200mmx200mm printing area to start with.
Hello senor bigclivedotcom.i am under the impression that your are a Manx bear. Now if that is true. My question is this. Do all manx bears sound Scottish? Or are my ignorant American ears mistaking a manx accent for a Scottish one.?
Hey Clive, Just for Halloween 👻 Cover Up the glasses and you have a LITTLE GHOST holding a Ring!
Like I said, just for Halloween 🎃.
That is an aroura LED light strip that you can get at Walmart for about 4 dollars, it was cut to length and had the input wires extended… That's all.
(I'll post the Walmart link when I find it again along a picture of my set)
3D printers are great….if you want to sink days & days into setting it up, i estimate mine to 70+ hours…then have to watch in despair as it clogs or just randomly fucks up 21.5 hours in to a 23 hour print run!
You soon become very very good at stripping them down..or you say..You know what? I'll just buy that part…life's too short…& it sits there silent for ever more.
I suspect the Chinese designed them to drive us insane prior to their invasion…
Will you review the "Liquid led" in your video`s? The Liquid led waqs sold as a ledbulb whit Liquid inside to cool the LED, so they could possible over volt it to get more lume out of it. This was back in 2009 as I remember, a led whit 400 lume or more was rare those days. Please review this cool looking LED for us.
I got an edgelit one with a lifesize cat.
Yes, get a 3D printer, and then open it up to see what's inside 🙂
Big Clive's Mood Light …. Just like the 'Tiger's Eye' Rings of Old … Can't wait to see it used as you take things to bits! 🙂
He likes it so he takes it apart! How do you know a gift is a big hit with Clive?
Well done Tom, just in time for Big Clive to put it outside his door for Halloween! lol
Smart bit of kit Tom, like it.
He sent it to you. I doubt he's surprised you opened it :p
It's kinda your thing (and we love you for it).
